Winter can be really tough on our hair, and it can be hard to know what are absolute must-dos to keep our hair in tip top condition.
So I've created a little winter haircare to-do list for the season! Let me know which ones you try!

1. Prepare your hair colour for spring.
Thinking of having a colour spring clean? Before you do anything, make an appointment with your colourist! If you're thinking of making a change, your colourist can help you make a plan and for more drastic changes, can help with getting your hair prepped and adjusted for the change. If you book in with your colourist, your homework should be to gather plenty of ideas! This will mean that you can both make sure you're on the same page before any changes are made.
2. Clean your hair brushes!
It's really easy to forget to clean our brushes regularly, but there's a lot of bacteria that can live in our brushes. If you only do one tip on this list, make it this one!
3. Rinse your hair in cooler water.
This may be a bit of a painful one to do during the colder months, but this one is absolutely worth it. Using cooler water when rinsing your hair will seal your hair cuticle more, giving you glossier and shinier hair.
4. Cover or tie your hair up in the wind/rain.
Living in the UK means that we have to prepare for all seasons - and we need to do the same with our hair! So if you're heading out into a windy and rainy day, keep your hair out of those weather conditions as much as you can. This will prevent hair breakage and will do great things in the long-term for your hair.
5. Treat your hair well overnight
Sleep with a silk hair wrap or use a turban on top of a hair treatment or masque. This is such lovely TLC for your hair and feels like a real treat! Using a silk hair wrap will give you the ultimate protection while sleeping and will mean you wake up with fresh and gorgeous hair.
